Your account
Creating an account
Head to faultnet.io/register and pick how you want to sign up:
- Email + password — enter your email, pick a password, done
- Continue with Google — one tap, no password needed
After registering with email, you'll get a verification email. Click the link in it to confirm your address.
Logging in
Go to faultnet.io/login. If you signed up with Google, use the Google button rather than email+password — they're separate login paths.
Forgot your password?
Hit Forgot password on the login page, enter your email, and follow the link in the reset email. The link expires after a short window, so use it fairly quickly.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
If you want extra security on your account, you can set up a TOTP authenticator (like Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password).
- Go to Profile in the app
- Scroll to Security
- Tap Set up two-factor authentication
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
- Enter the 6-digit code to confirm
Once enabled, you'll be asked for the code every time you log in. If you ever need to remove it, go back to Profile → Security → Disable two-factor authentication.
Changing your password
Go to Profile → Change password. You'll need to enter your current password to set a new one.
Closing your account
If you want to delete your account go to Profile → Close account. This is permanent and can't be undone.
Preferences
In Profile you can also set:
- Landing page — which page opens when you log in
- 3rd Party Contributions — allow other users to add entries and run AI analysis on your cases
- Notifications — email alerts for your own cases and followed cases Pro
- Hide product recommendations — turn off parts/tools suggestions Pro
