Getting started with FaultNet
FaultNet is a tool for documenting and solving vehicle faults. Whether you've just picked up a mystery warning light or you've been chasing an intermittent issue for months, it gives you a structured place to log everything and lets you search through real-world cases from other owners to see what fixed theirs.
What you'll need
- An internet connected modern mobile, desktop or tablet browser
- An email address (or a Google account for quick sign-in)
- 5 minutes to set up your account and add your first vehicle
The quick version
- Sign in with Google or Create your account — takes about 60 seconds
- Add your car to the Garage
- Create your first fault case with as much detail as you can
- Search to see if others have had the same issue on the same car
- Build up the timeline as you investigate and mark it resolved when you crack it
Standard vs Pro
FaultNet is free to use and covers the basics. If you want unlimited cases, full DTC data, AI diagnosis and advanced search, Pro is worth it.
These docs call out Pro features with a Pro badge where they apply.
